  • SUE HIRSCH

Painting has become my true passion over the last few years. Throughout my career as a special education teacher, I have always considered painting a hobby- something I did during vacations or the occasional weekend; something that sat on the edge of real life. But throughout the last few years, I’ve begun to acknowledge my yearning for more and more time to paint. Simply put, I consider my art a practice and an exploration. I feel a growing humility that allows me to start again and again and an emerging trust in the surrender that is central to the artistic process.

My fascination began with watercolor, discovering the balance between guiding the paint and welcoming the unexpected. Later I explored the depth and vibrance of gouache, and most recently, the myriad textures of acrylics. I’m also inspired by collage and the layering of images, lines, shapes, and colors- the perfect metaphor for the complexity of the human experience.

My work often reflects themes of nature and the energy of the living things around us at any given moment. Through my art, I’m learning to take pause. To see. Maybe that inspires someone else to do the same. Maybe that pause is calming; maybe it is reassuring; maybe it’s moving, or even transformative. Perhaps it brings just a little brightness to someone’s day.

At Flora, they long for things that hold a story. Pieces that bear history, ripen with age, and last through thick and thin - and are all the more beautiful because of it. A story passed from mother to daughter. Heirloom seeds. A long-held marriage. The linen dress our aunt wore in her youth while traveling through Italy. The leather chair that still holds the shape of our great-grandfather.

Over time, a patina can appear on the surface of an object. This does much more than reveal its age; it tells the story of a life. Flora wants to continue to tell those stories. The vintage pieces that they find are meant to live on through the hands that hold them and the people who continue to love them and create new stories from them. LEARN MORE

  • THERESA GOOBY

Theresa is an artist whose work delves into the intricate relationships we have with nostalgia. She is fascinated by how we look back at the past and use it to make sense of the present, exploring the notion that nostalgia is a fiction we create. In our stories about the past, we tend to remember selectively, highlighting certain aspects while discarding details that don’t fit our narrative.

Theresa’s artistic practice involves adapting images from past decades, particularly those that portray women in advertising. By rewriting these narratives, she brings to light the tendency to glorify the past, often overlooking uncomfortable realities such as sexism, discrimination, violence, and the daily humiliations that were part of that era.

Her work raises important questions: Who gets to tell the story of the past? Do the images from popular culture truly represent the reality of their time, or do they only capture a fraction of it? Through her art, Theresa invites us to reflect on how far we’ve come as a society and how much further we still need to go. She challenges us to scrutinize the past critically and recognize the curated fiction that nostalgia often presents, urging us to consider a more inclusive and truthful recounting of history. • SPCA WESTCHESTER

SPCA Westchester is one of the oldest humane societies in the United States. We were founded in 1883 by Ossining resident Mary Dusenberry after she observed horses being abused as they delivered heavy loads of coal. Together with caring friends, Mrs. Dusenberry obtained land in Briarcliff Manor on which to build the Society’s first home and established a fund to be used to prevent cruelty to animals.

Recognized as a No-Kill Rescue Center, the SPCA is committed to finding homes for all adoptable animals regardless of space or length of stay. In 2021 we proudly opened the doors to our new, 27,000-square-foot Animal Rescue Center. Our former buildings hadn’t been updated since the 1950’s and were cracked and crumbling. Thanks to our generous supporters, who made this dream a reality, our modern home allows us to expand our rescue programs and services, making a huge impact on Westchester County animals and beyond. Today, we support more than 5,500 animals every year.

  • SARA GOLDEN

Sara Golden is an independent jewelry designer making every piece by hand in her small Catskill Mountain studio. She loves using unique stones, sustainably sourced metals, and made-to-last fabrication techniques; she’s inspired by the imperfect beauty of nature, mythology, night skies, and anything that sparkles.

Sara started her bench jewelry training in Florence, Italy, and built on those foundations back in the United States at studios in and around New York City. Through design jobs at J. Crew, Kate Spade, and Lele Sadoughi, she was able to refine her aesthetic and design skills but grew disillusioned with what she was designing, jewelry meant to be forgotten about in a few weeks.

After moving to Phoenicia, NY in 2015, she started making jewelry in her studio where she could do things differently. Since then she’s been designing and fabricating her designs, creating jewelry you’re excited to wear and that’s made to last. LEARN MORE

  • VIA VIAGGIO

We started Via Viaggio in 2020 as a personal study to escape the numbing busyness culture and find our way back to a simpler, softer way of living. We consciously chose to make everything by hand instead of outsourcing production to a faceless, cookie-cutter mass manufacturer.

We believe the human touch has a meditative energy released through the joy of repetition and discovering meaning in the seemingly mundane. The nuance of flavor, the subtlety of texture, and the virtue of nutrition extracted with respect and care for nature is not something a machine can understand.

We build relationships with local farmers and herbalists to help create sustainable organic growth within our community of makers. Made in micro-batches, we develop each product with intention——pure in ancestral plant medicine and vital soul essence——a difference you can taste and feel. LEARN MORE

  • V. ANGELINI

Victoria is a professional woodworker and printmaker currently living in Westchester, NY. Originally from New Jersey, she went to Clemson University and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking in 2013. Victoria began dabbling in woodworking after she and her husband bought a house, and they had to refinish and furnish it. After she built her first table, she was hooked. She now specializes in patterned wall hanging, shelving units, tables, and much more…

Her process is a playful juxtaposition between organic and robotic. Her motions in creating are very precise and repetitive with the use of geometric shapes and measurements. But on the other hand, the placement of each is fluid and natural as I allow each piece to create new patterns and paths.

As she begins each piece Victoria always has ideas, but consciously lets go of all expectations. “It’s just me, the canvas, the materials, and my tools. I believe my process will inform me of what my piece wants to be. And it always does”

Victoria’s greatest compulsion is to create, so making art has become a part of her… a part she cannot live without. “Art is what sustains me. The focus that comes when I am creating and working with my hands is unparalleled and my purest form of contentment. And the satisfaction I feel when I’ve brought a piece to fruition. Nirvana. Art is truly my bliss.” LEARN MORE

  • ACORN WOOD SHOP

Julia Swyers first learned about wood turning while taking a general carpentry class at a local college. She had recently moved into a new house and wanted to make furniture for her home. Once in the woodshop, Sarah was drawn to the row of lathes at the back of the room with all the turning tools lining the wall. Here and there were the practice pieces left by other students featuring glue-ups of exotic woods, broken bowls, or half-done candlesticks. I was intrigued by the handheld scale and tactical quality of what could be made on a lathe. She soon enrolled in workshops learning bowl making and spindle turning, eventually setting up her own shop at home. Acorn Wood Shops takes pride in making functional pieces to warm the home. • PETER LEEDS FINE ART

Originating from the vibrant cultural center of New York City, my artistic odyssey is dedicated to encapsulating the essence of existence across a myriad of mediums. With a fusion of traditional methods and a command over oils, watercolors, and pencils, my art transcends the mundane, imbued with profound concepts.

Drawing inspiration from an eclectic array of influences, ranging from the techniques of classical masters to philosophical ponderings, my repertoire encompasses diverse subjects like still life, landscapes, and sculpture—all firmly grounded in the principles of realism. Having completed my education at the esteemed New York Academy of Art and SUNY Cortland College, my mural work in the heart of NYC has garnered acclaim on a national scale.

Every brushstroke bears a personal connection, serving as a visual chronicle of ephemeral moments. Through my art, I endeavor to weave timeless narratives that resonate with the human experience, bridging the past with the present.

Yet, beyond technical prowess lies the soul of my creations—the ideas, concepts, and narratives that infuse each piece. From meticulous attention to detail reminiscent of classical masters to the philosophical depth inherent in my compositions, my art mirrors a profound exploration of the human condition.

As my journey unfolds, I remain committed to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression, exploring new mediums, and delving deeper into the rich tapestry of human existence. Art, for me, is not merely a vocation—it is a way of life, a journey of self-discovery, and a celebration of the limitless creativity inherent in us all. LEARN MORE

  • WOOD FIRE FOOD

Chef Daniel Sabia is a culinary virtuoso whose journey has been fueled by a fervent dedication to the art of fine dining and an unyielding commitment to forging connections between food, community, and nature. With over two decades of experience honed in the kitchens of esteemed establishments and luxury events, Chef Sabia embarked on a transformative culinary venture with the inception of Wood Fire Food in 2018.

In the field every weekend, cooking for hundreds of guests we are forever faced with the challenge of limited resources and space. How do we bring the entire pantry into the fields without bringing the entire pantry? Chef Daniel Sabia engineered these salt mixes as a solution to not only elevate flavors but also bring practicality without compromising on the magic.

With a different menu each week, the blends had to be versatile, pairing flawlessly with a wide range of flavors. Something that can be used for seasoning, marinating, cooking, and finishing while satisfying a range of tastes.

Through five years of relentless refinement (and 250+ events), he managed to pack our pantry into a jar.

As guests strolled by our open kitchens at events, curious about the colorful seasonings on our workstations, we knew it was time to share. In 2020, we began packaging small batches, and today, while events remain our primary focus, we pop up at farmers', holiday, and makers' markets throughout NYC & the Hudson Valley. LEARN MORE

  • REBECCA MAUREEN DESIGN (9/22-9/24)

.After years of collecting and “hunting for treasures” Maureen and Rebecca decided to turn this passion into a business. It was a natural evolution that happened slowly and organically. Vintage jewelry shopping was so much fun that our collection grew and grew. On our travels, we would run into like-minded people with the same aesthetic. One day we decided wouldn’t it be fun to have a jewelry swap an evening of wine, snacks, and jewelry - what could be better? This started the journey to where we are now!

Rebecca Ruoff comes from a background in studio art and is still currently painting. Her focus is Abstract Expressionism. Maureen McCarthy comes from a background in design, furniture, and sales. Still passionately updating her world with flea markets and thrift finds along the way.

  • FAITHFULLY YOURS ATELIER (9/22-9/24)

Designed and created by maker Faith Delozier, each of our products is made using a majority of upcycled, repurposed, and rescued materials, resulting in each piece being completely unique and special. Our brand is passionate about remedying the waste of fast fashion while creating quality products that will last and be a part of the memories you make.

Our mission of sourcing our materials sustainably means that a large majority of our materials are repurposed, upcycle, or rescued. When choosing materials to work with, we carefully select items that show minimal wear and tear and are all freshly cleaned. However, because these materials are pre-loved, it is to be expected that there may be minor signs of wear such as small marks or signs or repair. These imperfections do not compromise the quality of our products and are to be celebrated as a reminder that your item is just one part of a bigger history and has been rescued from ending up in a landfill and has been given a second life. • GALIPETTE VINTAGE (9/22-9/24)

Galipette Vintage offers true vintage clothing handpicked with care by Lucille Damone for its heritage (some designer labels, some not), sustainability (quality fabrics and construction), and wearability (all bodies). Galipette pieces are for people who like to make a statement, express themselves through their clothes, and appreciate the sustainability that vintage inherently offers.

Galipette in French means to somersault or ‘to go head over heels’. To Lucille, this is what it feels like when we find a piece of vintage that ticks off all the boxes- it looks amazing, feels great, is priced right, and the drum roll...fits?!?! It's the magical moment the stars align, we fall in love, and have.to.have.it.

Galipette believes in the practice of expressive dressing in order to reclaim and stand in our individual power. We choose vintage not as a means of fitting in or gaining approval, but as a way to embody what is flowing within by outwardly expressing ourselves through our fashion, while simultaneously proclaiming our reverence to mother earth and its inhabitants. PLUS, IT'S FUN! LEARN MORE

  • THE HIGHLANDS FOUNDRY (9/22-9/24)

The Highlands Foundry is a handcrafted apparel and home décor business based in Hudson Valley, New York. Cheryl’s studio is an old Arts and Crafts Bungalow where she lives and works with her husband, a glass blower and lighting designer. After many years working in the fashion industry in New York, Cheryl decided to step away and build something of her own based on my love of antique textiles, vintage clothing, love of heritage, and the idea that designing products utilizing these elements, helps their story to continue.

Cheryl launched in February 2016 with a collection of one-of-a-kind tote bags and pillows made from salvaged textiles. Everything she makes is a small batch or one of a kind, starting with the textile, which really dictates to me the design, shape, or style she wants to make. Working in the industry for iconic brands such as Ralph Lauren, enabled Cheryl to develop an eye and appreciation for heritage, authenticity, and things that have a rugged natural beauty to them.

She soon expanded to include apparel pieces with tops, dresses, and kimono-style jackets, each piece made with the utmost attention to detail and care. Striving to create sustainable design pieces that people can wear, repair, cherish, and pass on to others. We use not only salvaged textiles but also salvaged horse bridles for bag straps, as well as vintage beads and buttons, to create unique and special pieces. LEARN MORE

  • THE SERIES NY

THE SERIES was founded in 2016 by Ella Wiznia while in recovery from an eating disorder. Ella began to realize the immense negative impact seeing images of unhealthy and unrealistic bodies had on her personally and society. Around the same time, she began educating herself on the enormous environmental impact the fashion industry has on the planet. As a form of protest, Ella committed to exclusively wearing and working with secondhand and sustainable materials.

THE SERIES brand is centered around exploring mediums and materials that for centuries have been tied to traditional craft and domesticity, often overlooked and undervalued due to their association with women's work in the home. Reworking crochet blankets, quilt tops, embroidery samplers, and bedding into one-of-a-kind, wearable garments is an intentional effort to give them a second life outside the home.
